Using Technology in the 21st Century Classroom

This is the wiki of my Lunch & Learn, Using Technology in the 21st Century Classroom.

You will find more information about what was discussed at the L&L as well as links to websites to help you get started up.

To the right of the screen you can see a grey table with links in it - these all match up with what was discussed in the powerpoint. I've also added a twitter section as well, tog I've you more information about what twitter is and how to begin using it. I would wholly recommend taking a look at this! Click here for the twitter info.

A copy of the powerpoint used during the Lunch & Learn is located here:

If you're interested in twitter, but have no idea where to begin, please take a look at the relevant page here.

If you have any questions, you can:
  • Find me in school
  • Email mrgibbenglish@gmail.com
  • Twitter: @darrengibb
  • Click on the speech bubbles on one of the pages that you have a question about and open up a discussion forum.

Wikipedia debate - many questions are asked about the validity of WIkipedia and its use within the classroom. My personal opinion is that it is acceptable as a research tool, but users should quote sources outside of it (found in the References section towards the end of every article.
